Vosh: I will never become Trump's "puppet"
BlockBeats message, April 21, Federal Reserve Chair nominee Kevin Woorh said, “I am deeply honored to receive the president’s nomination. If I am ultimately appointed to become the Federal Reserve Chair, I will be an independent decision-maker.”
In response to questions raised by Louisiana Senator John Kennedy, Woorh said he would never become a “puppet” of the president. Woorh also said that Trump did not ask him to make any commitments regarding certain interest rate decisions.
Woorh said, “The president has never asked me to make commitments on any specific interest rate decisions—there is no doubt about that. And even if he were to make such a request, I would never agree.”
