Tesla registers its AI-driven voice assistant in Shanghai
Tesla has registered its AI-powered voice assistant with China’s cyberspace administrator in Shanghai, making it one of 158 AI functionalities to complete the filing process. This move is part of China’s efforts to regulate rapidly developing AI technology and helps Tesla compete in the world’s largest auto market, where it is trying to defend its share against local EV firms. Tesla has previously indicated plans to integrate other local AI voice controls in its China models.
