US Expands Sanctions List Against Iran, Targeting Individuals, Companies, and Aviation Assets

On April 22, local time April 21, documents from the U.S. Department of the Treasury revealed that the Office of Foreign Assets Control updated the Specially Designated Nationals list, adding several Iranian individuals, companies, and aviation assets, related to sanctions in the fields of counter-terrorism and non-proliferation. Overall, these sanctions target not only entities within Iran but also its multinational business networks in the Middle East and surrounding regions, indicating the U.S. is continuing to strengthen restrictions on Iran’s financial, logistical, and aviation systems.
