Just looked at SOL's performance over the past year and it's been quite a ride. Back in August 2025, everyone was hyped about Solana price predictions, expecting it to hit $200+ by year-end. Now in April 2026, we're sitting at $84.59 - quite the reality check compared to those bullish forecasts.

The interesting part? The tech fundamentals haven't really changed. Still doing 50k+ TPS, still has that PoH and PoS combo that makes it efficient. Market cap is around $48.7B now, down from the $60-70B range we saw last year. 24h volume is solid at $55.7M.

I'm seeing the fear-greed index at 50% - basically neutral, which makes sense given where we are. A lot of those 2025 predictions about Solana reaching $300+ by 2026 didn't pan out. The broader market headwinds hit harder than expected. But here's the thing - if you zoom out, SOL's all-time high was $293.31, so we're not that far off historically speaking.

The real question now is whether Solana can regain traction. DeFi adoption is still there, partnerships are still solid. Just watching to see if we get another push up or if we consolidate here for a while. Definitely a different vibe compared to the optimism we had last summer.
