These days, I’ve been seeing everyone chat about modularization and the DA-layer narrative again. Developers on that side seem really excited, but ordinary users (including me) are basically completely lost: to put it simply, we don’t really care how you split consensus/execution/data—we care more about whether you can help me have less lag, fewer failures, and stop me from having to pay “tuition.”
When I’m watching perpetuals, I’m pretty realistic: the moment the chain gets crowded, slippage shoots up and explodes; placing orders feels like tossing them into a black hole. If modularization can truly make costs more stable, confirmations faster, and bridges a bit safer, then the experience is “it feels about the same, but it’s more convenient.” On the flip side, if it just adds another layer of things to choose, another step to switch wallets, and assets have to cross over… then someone like me who gets carried away emotionally will just be even more impulsive and messy. I’ll wait and see—anyway, if I lose money, I’ll stop for a week.
