Data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce on the 2nd show that due to a larger increase in imports than exports, the U.S. February goods and services trade deficit was $57.3 billion, an increase of $2.7 billion from the previous month, a 4.9% rise. The data indicate that U.S. February exports of goods and services totaled $314.8 billion, while imports reached $372.1 billion, representing month-on-month increases of 4.2% and 4.3%, respectively.
