Shytoshi Kusama, known as the lead developer of Shiba Inu, pointed to the date for the Shibarium launch in a reply to a tweet yesterday. Responding to a tweet about the ongoing ETH Toronto Conference this week, Kusama replied, "I have a surprise tomorrow," which was interpreted as the mainnet launch of Shibarium today.
Kusama, the popular name of the Shiba Inu community, also made statements on Discord that the launch will take place today.
Based on all these clues and the ETH Toronto Conference being cited as the launch location for Shibarium last month, the community is certain that the layer-2 solution that will operate on the Shiba network will go live today.
However, Shiba Inu's official X account inviting community members to Kusama's keynote speech at the conference also strengthened this possibility. Kusama's video conference coincides with 12.35 CEST, according to the post.
Latest situation in SHIB and BONE tokens
The Shibarium platform, which will operate as a Tier-2 solution, is considered an extremely important project in terms of accelerating the burning of the SHIB token and expanding its usage area.
