According to Jinse Finance, the ETH blockchain network has successfully increased the Block Gas limit for the first time under the PoS mechanism after receiving support from over 50% of validators. Data shows that the Gas limit has increased from the previous 30 million to 31.5 million, and is expected to be adjusted to 36 million eventually. This adjustment can be completed without a Hard Fork and provides support for network expansion. It is worth noting that the last Gas limit adjustment on the ETH blockchain occurred in 2021, when it was increased from 15 million to 30 million. Despite the improvement in network scalability performance brought by the Dencun upgrade, it is still necessary to adjust the Gas limit as DApp demand rises.
