Cboe Digital, the cryptocurrency division of the Chicago Board Options Exchange (Cboe), plans to launch a new Bitcoin futures product (XBTF) based on FTSE Russell on April 28, pending regulatory approval. This cash-settled contract will be based on the XBTF Index (which tracks 1/10 the value of the FTSE Bitcoin Index) and will settle on the last business day of each month. Catherine Clay, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe, stated that this move aligns with the growing trend of institutional demand for exposure to cryptocurrency assets, aiming to provide more capital-efficient trading tools.
