Clanker – AI application creates memecoin with over 34 million USD in transaction fees

Clanker, a decentralized application (DApp) powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to create memecoin based on description snippets (prompt), has generated over 34.4 million USD in transaction fees, according to on-chain data.

According to the “Clanker Fees” data table on the Dune platform, the total fees from Clanker’s liquidity pools have reached 34,417,863 USD, peaking on November 26, 2024, when the application earned up to 1.1 million USD in a single day.

The official website of Clanker shows that 355,179 tokens have been deployed ( called “clanker”) through the AI of this platform. The total market capitalization of the ecosystem reached 172.3 million USD, while the fees for token creators have amounted to 34.4 million USD.

“Clanker is an AI that deploys cryptocurrency tokens for you,” the website describes. “Just name and symbolize the token, Clanker will automatically take care of the deployment, create the market, and share the fees.”

According to the introduction page, the token creator will receive 1% of the fees from transactions on the liquidity pools of the decentralized exchange (DEX). Users do not need to have knowledge of crypto — just providing basic information about the token is sufficient.

Launching a token can be as simple as tagging @clanker on Farcaster (, a Web3 social media platform similar to X), or directly accessing the Clanker website. Developers can also use their own software development kit (SDK).

Another Dune data table shows that the total trading volume of tokens created by Clanker has reached nearly 3.48 billion USD, with a peak of nearly 61 million USD on November 27, 2024.

Clanker is currently on its fourth protocol version, deployed in mid-June, and this version alone has generated 7,819 new tokens.

Shamir Ozery – co-founder and CEO of the Web3 AI agents project Ensemble – shared that “AI agents have started to significantly appear in on-chain activities on the Base network.” According to him, the average daily transaction fee of Clanker has increased from about 65,000 USD in June to 89,000 USD in July, equivalent to a 37% increase.

“This growth rate indicates that agents are becoming easier to use and more trusted,” Ozery stated. He explained that such agents are simplifying the complexities of DeFi, enabling users to make better decisions without needing to understand the technical details.

Ozery stated that most AI agents currently thriving on Base are focused on trading and DeFi, notably Bankr – an AI interface that allows users to execute transactions, transfer assets between blockchains, and perform many other operations automatically.

“Such growth indicates that AI agents are no longer a concept of the future, but are actually contributing to network operations,” he said. “Although it is still early, this marks a turning point: agents are becoming genuine economic entities on the blockchain, rather than just experimental products.”
