Deribit Data: Over $16.4 Billion in BTC and ETH Options Expiring This Friday



October 30th news, according to Deribit’s latest data, futures with a nominal value exceeding $16.4 billion in BTC and ETH will expire simultaneously at 4:00 PM tomorrow, potentially increasing delivery pressure and triggering short-term market fluctuations.

Data shows that the current open futures contracts for BTC total 125,279, and for ETH total 644,600.

Among them, the open futures contracts for BTC bullish options amount to 72,244, while bearish options total 53,035, with a put/call ratio of 0.73. The nominal value of these contracts is nearly $13.89 billion, and the current maximum pain price for BTC is $114,000.

Meanwhile, the open futures contracts for Ether bullish options are 375,990, and for bearish options are 268,610, with a put/call ratio of 0.71. The nominal value exceeds $2.526 billion, and the current maximum pain price for ETH is $4,100.

From the perspective of the put/call ratio in the options market, market participants generally have a bullish outlook on the BTC and ETH options expiring this Friday, indicating overall market confidence.

Additionally, with over $16.4 billion in futures expiring this Friday, market makers may conduct large-scale hedging operations to manage contract risk, which could lead to squeeze effects in the spot market. Investors should closely monitor market dynamics to respond to potential price fluctuations.
