Odaily Planet Daily Report: Vitalik Buterin posted on social media analyzing the difference between “corposlop web” and “sovereign networks.” He defines “corposlop” as a combination of corporate optimization capabilities, seemingly decent brand images, and undignified behaviors undertaken to maximize profits. Vitalik Buterin stated that “corposlop” is soulless, trend-following, and a homogenized product that is both evil and clumsy.

He pointed out that the meaning of “sovereignty” has expanded nowadays, referring not only to avoiding government coercion, but also to protecting digital privacy through cryptography and safeguarding one’s thoughts from corporate psychological warfare aimed at extracting user attention and money.

He called on developers to build more sovereign tools, such as: privacy-protecting local-first applications, user-controlled social media platforms, financial tools that do not encourage 50x leverage or sports betting, open-friendly AI tools, and DAOs pursuing unique objectives. He concluded: “Keep sovereignty, reject corposlop, Believe in somETHing.”
