02/24/2026 Elena Vasileva
On February 24, a solo miner mined a block on the first cryptocurrency network. For this, he received a reward of 3.125 BTC (approximately $196 650 at the current exchange rate).

According to Braiins, the user's expenses amounted to only $75. The miner did not use his own equipment. He spent 119,000 satoshis ($75) on renting hashing power of 1 PH/s and paid a small fee.

The Braiins pool uses CKPool platform software to support solo mining. The administrator of the latter, Kol Kolivas, noted that the block was the first mined within the partnership.
According to aggregator Bennet, solo blocks are found on average once every 17.2 days. However, the number of such cases is increasing. Over the past year, 21 solo miners successfully mined a block.

In total, they earned 66 BTC. Compared to the previous year, the number of found solo blocks increased by 17%.
