According to Jinse Caijing, Cipher Mining (CIFR), a BTCMining company, announced that it has received a $50 million investment from SoftBank, which will purchase 10.4 million shares of the company’s stock. Cipher Mining said it will use the funds to support the development of high-performance computing (HPC) data centers. The company’s CEO, Tyler Page, said SoftBank’s support for technological innovation and artificial intelligence development aligns with Cipher’s vision of becoming a leader in HPC data center development.
