Gate Charity Brings Fashion Education to Life: "Fashion for Impact" Workshop Welcomes 100+ Attendees and Awards 10 Full Scholarships in Benin
On July 26, 2025, Gate Charity, in collaboration with local fashion professionals, successfully held the “Fashion for Impact” Communication Workshop at J. Reside in Cotonou, Benin. This initiative marked a significant step in Gate Charity’s mission to empower underprivileged youth through creative education and vocational training.
The workshop welcomed over 100 attendees, including aspiring fashion designers and young individuals from vulnerable backgrounds. Through expert-led sessions, live demonstrations, and inspiring testimonies, participants gained first-hand exposure to the tools, techniques, and opportunities within the fashion design and tailoring industry. The event provided not only technical insight but also emphasized fashion as a viable and dignified path toward employment and self-expression.
As part of its charitable commitment, Gate Charity awarded 10 full training vouchers to underprivileged youth, granting them access to a certified professional fashion program. These scholarships represent a critical opportunity for sustainable career development and economic independence. In addition to sponsoring the training itself, Gate Charity also covered logistical and integration support to ensure each recipient is set up for long-term success.
