Jin10 Data, April 5th - On April 4th local time, it was reported that Salido, the head of the Kherson region appointed by Russia, stated that the Russian military thwarted the Ukrainian army’s attempt to establish a port in Mykolaiv. Mykolaiv is located west of the Kherson region and can directly access the Black Sea via the Southern Bug River that flows through the area. Salido claimed that the Russian military’s firepower is now capable of covering Mykolaiv, and they have discovered and destroyed the Ukrainian army’s attempts to build a seaport in Mykolaiv. Salido emphasized that the Russian military will not allow any vessels, whether military or commercial, to sail from Mykolaiv into the Black Sea.
