Hackathon Overview

Hackathon@WEF 2025 will be held in Davos, Switzerland from January 21 to 23, 2025, attracting 23 registered developers, with a total of 7 projects approved. The event aims to address global challenges through AI, data science, and advanced technologies. Participants collaborate in teams, working both on-site at Lab 42 and the Davos Innovation Center, as well as online, focusing on creating solutions with real-world application potential.

The social platform built by DIGITAL LOUNGE@WEF provides developers the opportunity to connect with CEOs, government officials, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, showcase projects to a high-quality audience, increase exposure, and lay the foundation for career development; the beautiful environment of the Swiss Alps, along with free accommodation, meals, and conference materials, optimizes the participation experience; a prize pool of over 10,000 Swiss francs supports subsequent innovations. In addition, the collaborative atmosphere created by the Davos Innovation Center strongly promotes global innovation processes.

This Hackathon not only highlights the potential of technological innovation in addressing global issues, but also fosters in-depth communication across fields, creating a quality platform for exploring innovative solutions to global challenges.

First Place ( 5000 Swiss Francs )

Inspecting Avalanches - The project focuses on detecting and classifying avalanches through advanced analytics and classification techniques to enhance safety measures and response processes.

Second place ( 1500 Swiss Francs )

Team Strike - Developed a chatbot that converts natural language queries into SQL queries and XML files, enhancing database interaction and accessibility.

Third place ( 1000 Swiss Francs )

Sigma - has developed a humanoid system capable of interacting with the environment, using efficient AI models to ensure data sovereignty throughout its entire operational process.
