Golden Finance reported that U.S. Senators Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren sent a letter to the U.S. Office of Government Ethics on Friday, requesting an investigation into Trump to determine whether his actions of offering private dinners to TRUMP token investors violate federal ethics rules. The two senators stated that after the news of the “TRUMP dinner” was released, the market capitalization of the Meme coin TRUMP surged by over $100 million, raising concerns about Trump and his family’s use of influence for personal gain. However, analysts believe that since both the White House and Congress are controlled by the Republican Party and the ethics overseer is appointed by the president, the requests from Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren are likely to be ignored. As of now, the White House has not responded to requests for comment on this matter, and the U.S. Office of Government Ethics declined to comment.
