The world’s largest AI model sharing platform – Civitai – has just implemented cryptocurrency payments for its internal token Buzz, after losing its credit card processing partner due to 18+ content generated by AI. Users can pay with USDC, USDT, Litecoin, Ethereum, TRON, Solana, Dogecoin, and Shiba Inu via NowPayments (, excluding Bitcoin due to high fees ).
Civitai encourages the use of USDC on Base for fast speed and no gas fees. The system is compatible with most Ethereum wallets, with a fixed transaction fee of only 1 USD.
The company stated that they are negotiating with new card partners after being suspended on May 23. Civitai is the latest name in a series of NSFW content platforms moving to crypto to avoid censorship from the traditional financial system.
