On June 17, local time, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency and Mehr News Agency released news that the air defense system of the Iranian Armed Forces shot down an F-35 fighter again in the northwestern city of Tabriz. The IDF then said it had “no knowledge” of the incident. Previously, Iran has repeatedly claimed to have shot down Israeli F-35 fighters. Iran’s army ground forces said on June 14 that they had shot down an Israeli F-35 fighter jet and arrested its pilot. The Israeli side has refuted claims that the fighter plane was shot down by Iran and called it “fake news”. So far, the Iranian side has not released more details about the downed F-35 fighter, such as photos of the wreckage of the fighter, the pilot’s situation and other key evidence.
