Tron (TRX) Founder Justin Sun announced his intention to purchase 100 Million Dollar worth of Surprise Altcoin!

Tron founder Justin Sun announced that they will invest 100 million dollars in the memecoin project TRUMP, named after US President Donald Trump.

This strategic step aims to support the development of the token on the TRON chain according to their own statements, and to increase cross-ecosystem crypto adoption by collaborating with communities like GetTrumpMemes.

Sun stated the following in his post today on X, formerly known as Twitter (:

“We are determined to purchase $100 million worth of TRUMP! TRUMP and TRON together are the future of crypto. This move reflects our belief in growing the crypto ecosystem by working alongside communities like GetTrumpMemes.”

On Monday, Tron DAO announced that the TRUMP memecoin would be integrated into the TRON network.

Sun was also invited to a gala dinner attended by Donald Trump at the beginning of the year. According to a report by CNBC, Sun stated that he owned approximately 19 million dollars worth of TRUMP tokens before this event and that he was the largest investor in this area.

The Sun-Trump relationship is not limited to the TRUMP token. Shortly after Trump was elected president in November 2024, Sun invested $30 million in World Liberty Financial, another cryptocurrency project named after the president. Trump’s sons are also involved in the project as “ambassadors.” Sun later increased his investment to $75 million and was appointed as a consultant for the project. In January, World Liberty made purchases worth millions of dollars from TRON’s native token, TRX.
