Trump temporarily retracts threats against Russia
Jin10 reported on August 16 that after meeting with Putin, Trump stated that due to the “very smooth” discussions between the two sides, he would temporarily set aside plans for further sanctions against Russia or other “serious consequences.” Trump said: “Because of what happened today, I think there’s no need to consider this issue right now.” He added: “Maybe in two or three weeks I will need to consider it, but not at the moment.”
