According to Aastocks, Chen Qinqi, Vice President of Circle for the Asia-Pacific region, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, stated that under the current framework, professional investors in Hong Kong are still allowed to use USDC and are not regulated. Circle has no plans to issue stablecoins in local currency. The company primarily issues two types of stablecoins, specifically the USDC stablecoin (dollar Mỹ) and the EURC stablecoin (euro). However, Circle is open to future collaboration on a Hong Kong dollar stablecoin and has negotiated with several companies.
