Berachain tests the Preconfirmation system, shortening transactions to 200ms

Berachain has just announced a new Preconfirmation system proposal, which reduces the time to include transactions in a block from 2 seconds to about 200 milliseconds, significantly enhancing network performance and user experience.

This solution brings:

• Near-instant feedback for high-speed applications such as DeFi, gaming, and real-time trading.
• Better user experience, with trades displayed as processed in less than a second.
• The options system allows users to choose between fast confirmation or waiting for standard completion status.
• No additional software required for the validator.
• The network will still operate normally if the Preconfirmation system encounters issues.
• Applications that require absolute completion can still use the standard 2-second confirmation mechanism.

Built on the Beacon-Kit ( consensus client and Bera-Reth ) execution client developed by Berachain, this system aims to optimize speed, fairness, and low latency for the entire network.
