Foresight News reports that OpenAI’s State of Enterprise AI report shows that weekly active users have surpassed 800 million, with over 1 million companies paying for enterprise-level AI products. Paid seats (i.e., number of employee users) for ChatGPT workplace products have reached 7 million. In terms of message volume, the United States, Germany, and Japan are the most active markets for business customers using ChatGPT. Across industries, the median growth in AI usage over the past 12 months has exceeded 6 times. OpenAI states that AI is breaking down traditional job boundaries. 75% of employees have used AI to accomplish tasks they previously could not handle, including code review, spreadsheet automation, and the development of technical tools. In the past six months, apart from engineering, IT, and research departments, message volume related to coding in other roles has grown by an average of 36%.
