Securitize appoints former PayPal executive as General Counsel, prepares for SPAC listing

PANews, December 9—According to The Block, asset tokenization company Securitize has announced the appointment of former PayPal Head of Digital Assets Legal, Jerome Roche, as General Counsel to prepare the company for a Nasdaq listing via a Cantor Fitzgerald SPAC. The merger is expected to give Securitize a valuation of $1.25 billion and will trade under the ticker SECZ. Securitize plans to tokenize its own equity and is the issuer of BlackRock’s on-chain Treasury fund BUIDL. Roche stated that his career focus is “at the intersection of regulatory compliance and technological innovation.”
