Odaily Planet Daily reports that on the evening of December 13, a suspected attempted robbery occurred at a cryptocurrency exchange store in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. The police received a report from a security guard around 8 p.m. indicating a suspected robbery incident in the escalator area of a shopping mall at 608 Nathan Road. Preliminary investigations show that the 46-year-old male complainant is the owner of the cryptocurrency exchange store at the above location. He was preparing to close and leave when two men suddenly demanded he open the door, apparently attempting to rob him. Later, a third person suspected to be an accomplice appeared. The complainant and his wife fought with three men; during the altercation, the male complainant was injured to his finger and was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital for treatment, remaining conscious upon arrival. After arriving at the scene, police investigations initially believe that the complainant did not suffer any loss of property. They are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the scene and searching for the whereabouts of the suspects involved. The store is located on the 1st floor of W Plaza, President Commercial Building. A small amount of bloodstains was found near the staircase leading to Shoyu Street. The case is still under investigation. (Ming Pao)
