Economist: The Federal Reserve May Keep Interest Rates Unchanged for a Longer Period

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Annex Wealth Management Chief Economist Brian Jacobsen stated: “The unemployment insurance claims data is noisy, especially during holiday periods, but nonetheless, it remains the best indicator of the health of the labor market.” He added, “Perhaps the biggest surprise of the new year is that the labor market started to improve in December, which means the Federal Reserve may keep interest rates unchanged for a longer period than initially expected.” (Jin10)
