U.S. and European allies claim that Russia's military aid to Iran exceeds American understanding, with significant strengthening of Russia-Iran defense cooperation.

GateNews

Gate News reports that on March 29, America’s European allies openly and privately informed U.S. diplomats that Russia is providing direct and substantial assistance to Iran’s military operations, far beyond what the U.S. is willing to publicly acknowledge. European countries also stated that the war in Ukraine is intertwining with the war in Iran, due to cooperation between Russia and Iran. A British official indicated that defense cooperation between Russia and Iran has significantly strengthened in recent years, with Iran’s technological advancements now evident in attack incidents across the Middle East. The UK assessment believes that Iran has not only transferred “Shahed” drones to Moscow for use on the Ukrainian battlefield but has also transferred production technology to Russia, which has helped Iran improve its drone warfare capabilities. This British official could not confirm whether Russia has recently transferred any hardware to Iran. French Foreign Minister Barrou publicly described the relationship between Russia and Iran as “mutual cooperation.”
