Gold Ten Data, June 28th, Michigan University Consumer Survey Director Joanne Hsu said that although consumers have confidence in the continued slowdown of inflation, many people are worried about the impact of high prices and declining income on personal finances. These trends offset the improvement in short-term and long-term business prospects, which is partly due to expectations of soft interest rates. Nevertheless, the current market sentiment is still about 36% higher than the low point of June 2022. The year-on-year inflation expectation has dropped from 3.3% last month to 3.0% this month, and the long-term inflation expectation has remained at 3.0% for the third consecutive month, maintaining significant stability over the past three years. However, compared with the range of 2.2% to 2.6% in the two years before the epidemic, these expectations have still increased.
