The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff released a message on the morning of the same day, stating that as of 9 o’clock on the same day, the South Korean military had found more than 200 balloons released by North Korea containing pollutants, with more than 40 having landed. After monitoring the release of balloons by North Korea, the South Korean military conducted a loudspeaker broadcast in response to the North in the border area between North and South Korea from the night of the 18th to the early morning of the 19th. North Korea has not responded to this.
