The 140th Ethereum Core Developer Consensus Meeting: Discussing Pectra Upgrade and PeerDAS
On August 22, 2024, Ethereum developers gathered on Zoom for the 140th All Core Developers Consensus (ACDC) conference call. This bi-weekly meeting focuses on discussing and coordinating changes to the Consensus Layer (CL), also known as the beacon chain, of Ethereum. The conference call was hosted by Alex Stokes, a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation (EF). Pectra Upgrade: Stokes has released the upgraded version of CL specification for Pectra, marked as v1.5.0-alpha.5, and encourages client teams to review it. PeerDAS: Engineer Barnabas Busa announced that PeerDAS Devnet 2 will be released on August 23rd.
