The 2024 Global Cultural IP Industry Development Conference (IP PLUS+++ Carnival) will be held from December 20th to 22nd at the Shanghai International Tourism Resort. Internationally renowned artist Song Yang said in his speech that through the metaverse, he is establishing a connection between Chinese contemporary artists and global culture.

In his view, many traditional artists today only focus on presenting the content itself, but based on the metaverse approach, the Songyang Art Museum has signed an exclusive global digital collection contract with Zhang Daqian, which is also based on the 450 artists globally signed by the Songyang Art Museum. We held a new art exhibition for each artist including Qi Baishi, Xu Beihong, and Zhang Daqian last year, and also developed derivative products of their artistic content as well as new NFT works on digital platforms.

“I think all the current Chinese artists and current IP can explore a new set of content and direction, you know that the entire economic form in the past two years is an economic downturn, how we can give a better direction to the brand and business cycle in addition to simple painting and gallery today.” He said.

Song Yang mentioned that based on these digital collectibles, within 1-2 months, the actual revenue can reach nearly 20-30 million RMB, which poses many challenging aspects for those currently engaged in content industry and cultural IP, but also presents many new opportunities.

Despite the many problems and difficulties at present, it is necessary to establish a new painting language and business model with one’s own way, and link it with various colleagues. “Why is it called Future link? Because I think it is necessary to link our so-called good original content and spirit to more peers, brand merchants, even suppliers, and even the so-called media and media.” He said.

In conclusion, he expressed the hope that the current aesthetic standards of China could be established, so that when people see such images even in Western countries like the United States or in places like Dubai and New York, they would consider it as an excellent international Chinese brand. He hopes to create a new visual language that belongs to China’s IP and art industry.
