December 11th, the big wipeout that shook the industry two months ago is still fresh in our minds. There are only a few days left in the year. Who still firmly believes that a raging bull market will come?
Look at this recent wave of intense volatility — both bulls and bears are being wiped out, yet the liquidation volume is only a bit over 500 million USD. What does this number signify? There are fewer and fewer players in the market with real money.
Interestingly, when the price drops to this level, it should be a good opportunity to bottom fish, right? But retail investors are collectively pretending to be dead. Where have all those shouts of "go all in" gone?
My simple judgment is: this cycle may not have a traditional bull market. After several rounds of harvesting, most retail investors have seen through the game rules. Project teams hype up empty promises, institutions cut their wrists, data is falsified... This routine has been played too many times, and people can't be fooled anymore.
Market participation is shrinking, trading volume is sluggish, liquidation scales are decreasing — these signals all point to the same thing: trust has collapsed. When retail investors collectively wake up, choose to wait and see or even exit, who can sustain the so-called "bull market"?

Retail investors have all seen through it; they can't be fooled anymore. That's the most heartbreaking part.

*actually* the liquidation volumes tell the real story here—5bn is basically noise compared to 2021 cycles. fundamentally speaking, we're not seeing capitulation, just rational actors finally doing the math on token economics. the real question isn't "where's the bull run" it's "why would it exist" when on-chain metrics show zero conviction?

I'm awake, damn it, I'm awake. This time, I won't be fooled.

Retail investors are truly awake this time is different.
The shilling voices are gone, and it's time to realize the game has changed.
Trust is something that, once broken, is hard to put back together.
To put it simply, everyone is afraid of getting cut again.
Bull market? Haha, someone has to take the other side.

All the retail investors have left. Who else can we rely on to take over?

ngl the 500m liquidation figure is actually wild... that's not even enough to move the needle anymore, everyone's just watching from the sidelines with popcorn at this point

Retail investors have all left, what bullish market are we talking about?
---
Really, this time feels different, people's confidence has dispersed.
---
5 billion in liquidation volume, what does that mean? It means no one dares to play anymore.
---
The sound of all-in has disappeared, only onlookers remain.
---
More and more people are seeing through the rules, and that's the most heartbreaking part.
---
Bottom fishing? Laughable, who still believes in that?
---
Trust is gone, everything is gone.
---
Let's leave it at that for this year, we'll see next year.
---
Market participation is shrinking, in plain terms, it's because we've been thoroughly educated.
---
Compared to a bull market, I'm more concerned about whether the coins I hold are still there.

Retail investors have all seen through it; institutions are still putting on a show.
