Why Bitcoin Could Become the Ultimate Store of Value

Billionaire investor Michael Saylor has been vocal about an intriguing thesis: as Bitcoin gains adoption and establishes itself as digital gold, all other assets may gradually depreciate against it in relative terms. The reasoning is straightforward—if Bitcoin emerges as the world's preferred hard asset, everything else becomes denominated in Bitcoin value rather than fiat terms.

This perspective challenges conventional portfolio theory. Instead of diversifying across multiple asset classes, the argument suggests Bitcoin's scarcity and network effects create structural advantages that compound over time. As institutions recognize this, capital flows concentrate toward Bitcoin, reshaping how we measure asset performance.

It's a bold thesis worth monitoring as the crypto market matures. Whether this plays out depends on broader adoption curves and macroeconomic shifts.

Saylor's statement sounds romantic, but I always feel it's a bit too absolute... Will all assets really depreciate relatively? It still depends on how the macro environment develops.

To be honest, I've heard Saylor's arguments too many times. Every time he speaks, it's "Bitcoin is the ultimate asset," which feels like he's brainwashing his own holdings... But on the other hand, the logic is indeed interesting. If it really becomes digital gold, it would reverse the entire asset pricing system, wouldn't it?

saylor's been preaching this for years but honestly the real alpha is understanding *why* the market hasn't priced this in yet. most people still can't wrap their heads around absolute scarcity, tbh.

I'm already tired of Saylor's rhetoric; it sounds like he's just seeking psychological comfort for his BTC hoarding... But on the other hand, if he's truly all-in on Bitcoin, then traditional assets' depreciation is inevitable, right? The question is, when will it happen?
