At the 2026 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), AMD announced the Ryzen AI 400 series processors, aimed at bringing artificial intelligence into the personal computing space. This new chip features 12 CPU cores and 24 threads, and is claimed to be 1.3 times faster in multitasking and 1.7 times faster in content creation compared to competitors. AMD Senior Vice President Rahul Tikoo stated that over the past year, the number of AMD AI PC platforms has doubled to over 250. AMD also released the gaming-oriented Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor and updated its Redstone ray tracing technology. PCs equipped with these new processors are expected to launch in the first quarter of 2026.
