Standard Chartered Bank has lowered its USD target price for Ethereum in 2026 but maintained a higher outlook for 2030, citing an improved position of Ethereum relative to Bitcoin. Analyst Geoff Kendrick believes 2026 will be a pivotal turning point, driven mainly by increased Layer-1 throughput, growth in DeFi, stablecoins, and tokenization demand. Although Bitcoin's weakness puts pressure on the overall cryptocurrency USD target prices, Standard Chartered Bank expects the ETH/BTC ratio to rebound to near its 2021 peak as the regulatory environment becomes clearer.
