🫡👀The hacker behind the KelpDAO exploit has withdrawn 75,701 ETH (~$175 million) from the Ethereum network and has begun laundering the funds.
This follows the massive ~$290–293 million hack (primarily through draining 116,500 rsETH via a LayerZero bridge vulnerability), which has been called the largest DeFi exploit of 2026 so far.
The attacker consolidated approximately 75,700 ETH into a single wallet before starting the laundering process.

The report identifies a consistent pattern of unusual trading spikes that some analysts say bears the hallmarks of illegal insider trading — using non-public information for profit. The White House did not respond to the BBC’s request for comment.

🇺🇸 The CLARITY Act, the key bill that would bring regulatory structure to the U.S. crypto market, is being delayed — a committee vote is now only expected in May.
Senator Thom Tillis stated that the Senate Banking Committee will not have enough time in April to review and prepare the document for a vote. The parties need additional time to reach a compromise on issues related to stablecoins.
At the same time, Senator Bernie Moreno warned that if the bill is not passed by May, regulation of digital assets in the United States could be postponed indefinitely.
