The EigenLayer Mainnet Slashing mechanism is scheduled to launch on April 17.

Gate.io News bot message, EigenLayer announced that its Mainnet Slashing mechanism will officially launch on April 17th. This mechanism grants AVS the authority to establish operator behavior standards and manage them through a reward and penalty system.

Currently, the testnet has been launched on Holesky, and the Sepolia and Hoodi testnets are also in the deployment plan. The Mainnet upgrade process will begin with the protocol committee upgrade on April 7, followed by a 14-day withdrawal queue period to ensure that AVS processes staking withdrawal transactions normally.

EigenLayer adopts a phased implementation of the Slashing strategy, allowing operators and stakers to decide whether to adopt the Slashing standards.
