Jin10 data reported on April 11, LBBW’s senior fixed income analyst Elmar Volker stated in a report that part of the rise in U.S. and U.K. bond yields may be due to the need for liquidity by hedge funds after a significant fall in stock prices earlier this week. “Due to the sharp drop in stock prices, hedge funds were forced to sell, which provides another explanation for the weakness in the U.S. and U.K. bond markets.”
