EigenLayer has announced that it will add a "Slashing" feature aimed at reducing systemic risk

Ethereum’s staking protocol EigenLayer has announced that it will launch a previously missing “Slashing” feature that will punish operators who act maliciously, thereby enhancing the security and accountability of “Proof of Stake”. EigenLayer currently secures more than $7 billion in staked assets across 39 validation services, and the redesigned slashing system is designed to mitigate the systemic risk previously associated with EigenLayer’s pooled staking model. （CoinDesk）
