Co-founder and CEO of Layer 2 project Morph Cecilia Hsueh has resigned.
Cecilia Hsueh, co-founder and CEO of Morph – a Layer 2 project on Ethereum incubated by Bitget – announced her resignation on Monday. Not long before, co-founder and COO Azeem Khan had also left the project.
Morph, established in 2023 and based in Singapore, is building a Layer 2 network that combines optimistic technology and zero-knowledge rollup. The project has raised 20 million USD in its seed and angel funding round, with Dragonfly leading the 19 million USD seed round.
! Cecilia HsuehMorph’s new CEO is Colin Goltra, who is currently the Chief Growth Officer and previously served as COO at YGG and Binance’s head of APAC expansion. Goltra joins Morph from January 2025.
The mainnet of Morph was launched in October 2024, with Bitget Wallet integrated shortly thereafter. Morph asserts that they are building the first Layer 2 Ethereum with a decentralized sequencer, unlocking vast application potential for finance, gaming, social networking, and entertainment.
Cecilia Hsueh said that she will continue to accompany the project in an advisory role. Morph’s investors also include Pantera Capital, Foresight Ventures, Spartan Group, Symbolic Capital and prominent individuals such as Sandeep Nailwal (Polygon) and Alex Svanevik (Nansen).
