Gate News bot reports that, according to the Financial Times, three informed sources disclosed that crypto assets influencer and investor Anthony Pompliano is expected to lead a publicly listed company that is seeking to raise $750 million to purchase Bitcoin.

Pompliano is in talks to become the CEO of ProCapBTC, which is seeking to raise $500 million in equity financing and $250 million in convertible debt through a merger with Columbus Circle Capital 1.

The special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Columbus Circle, supported by investment bank Cohen & Company, went public on Nasdaq last month, with the IPO size expanded to $250 million.

Last month, the blank check company ProCap Acquisition Corp, led by Pompliano, went public on NASDAQ, raising $220 million. However, according to public information, the relationship between ProCapBTC and ProCap Acquisition Corp remains unclear.
