ChainCatcher Message: Recently, the TRON developer community officially released the mainnet GreatVoyage-v4.8.1 (Democritus) version. This upgrade is mandatory; developers must complete the update before 23:59 on March 9, 2026 (Singapore time) to ensure normal network synchronization and operation.
The Democritus version primarily introduces support for ARM64 architecture and JDK 17, significantly expanding node deployment environments; at the same time, adjustments have been made to the SELFDESTRUCT instruction in TVM, fully aligning with Ethereum’s EIP-6780 standard to further improve cross-ecosystem compatibility. On the network layer, the version enhances stability and security through P2P message rate limiting, synchronization logic, and error code optimization. Additionally, event services, API capabilities, and configuration governance mechanisms have been systematically upgraded to continuously improve the developer experience.
This upgrade reflects TRON’s ongoing evolution in performance, governance, and ecosystem compatibility.
