Morgan Stanley: Initial claims data easing market concerns again helps Fed cut rates in September

Odaily Planet Daily News According to data released by the US Department of Labor on Thursday, the number of initial jobless claims increased by 4,000 to a seasonally adjusted 232,000 for the week ending August 17, slightly exceeding the expected 230,000. Chris Larkin of Morgan Stanley E*Trade said that the latest number of initial jobless claims indicates that the labor market is slowing but resilient, which should be helpful for the Federal Reserve to start cutting interest rates in September.
