PANews, August 24th, according to Cointelegraph, stablecoin issuer Tether has helped 145 law enforcement agencies recover over 1.088 billion USDT related to illegal activities since its launch in 2014, according to a recent statement. Tether CEO Paolo Ardoini wrote in a statement on August 23: “Tether is firmly committed to supporting global law enforcement in combating the illegal use of cryptocurrency.” Since its launch, Tether has “voluntarily blocked” more than 1,900 cryptocurrency wallets related to illegal activities worldwide.
