On August 26th, Thai authorities raided an illegal BTC (BTC) mining site west of Bangkok in Ratchaburi. The raid came after complaints from residents in the area about frequent power outages for over a month. According to Chanwong, records show that the raided house consumed an unusually large amount of electricity. However, residents did not pay for most of the electricity consumed. During the raid, police and officials from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) found that most of the mining equipment had been moved. No one was arrested during the raid, which is the fourth raid on the illegal BTC mine in the area by the authorities.
