Report: Australian investors have lost $122 million due to encryption eyewash in the past 12 months.

According to a new report from the Australian Federal Police (AFP), Australians have lost 122 million US dollars (180 million Australian dollars) due to encryption fraud in the past 12 months, with most victims being under 50 years of age. In a statement on August 28, AFP revealed that eyewash investment last year caused a loss of $269 million (AUD 382 million), of which about 47% was related to Crypto Assets. (Cointelegraph)
