Regulators conduct comprehensive research on the securities and insurance situation of securities firms and seek to collect practical operational difficulties and suggestions.
On November 11th, Jinshi Data reported that the China Securities Association is currently conducting research on the provision of services and protection for investors by securities firms. This research covers a wide range of topics, including investor suitability management, securities dispute mediation, and prevention of non-trading cases. The overall goal is to collect information on the actual operational difficulties and suggestions from various entities within the industry in order to promote the improvement of relevant systems. Regarding suitability management, the research covers detailed aspects such as investor information understanding, investor assessment, professional investor management, product and service classification, suitability matching, management of elderly investors, and suitability internal controls. One of the key points of discussion is the Financial Institution’s exemption mechanism and the differences between regulatory and judicial determinations when investors intentionally provide false information. In terms of securities dispute mediation, the research covers the number of customer complaints handled by the company in the past three years, as well as the number of dispute cases resolved through small amount fast-track mediation, unilateral commitment mediation, and advance compensation from 2021 to 2023, reflecting the application of the company’s diversified dispute mediation mechanisms.
