South Korea's largest opposition party has proposed impeaching the Minister of Administration and Security.

Jinshi data news on December 7th, the largest opposition party in South Korea, the Common Democratic Party, announced today (December 7th) that the party submitted an impeachment case against the Minister of Administration, Lee Sang-min, to the National Assembly’s Legislation and Judiciary Committee in the morning. The Common Democratic Party stated that Lee Sang-min is suspected of premeditated illegal martial law and obstructing the normal proceedings of the State Council meeting to deliberate on martial law, as well as supporting illegal martial law. This is the second impeachment facing Lee Sang-min. In 2023, the Common Democratic Party and other opposition parties proposed and passed an impeachment case against Lee Sang-min for the inadequate response to the Yongsan Tragedy. However, the South Korean Constitutional Court rejected the impeachment request against Lee Sang-min, and Lee Sang-min resumed his duties.
